It's A Beautiful Mess
Hello Fall! I don’t want to wish my life away, but I find myself counting down the days til 2021. Logically I know that we're not going to flip the calendar page and everything fall neatly into place, but a girl can hope. I need something to look forward to! You know the saying about you can't make sense out of crazy...This year has been a roller coaster in every way. Things are slower now than they were during full lockdown, but I do have several trunk shows this month so that is keeping us busy. Business as usual is out the window! I've almost quit trying to figure things out and just try my best to stay focused on what I can do to help make this world a better place.
I've been thinking a lot about what I've learned and accomplished this year. Some days are full of optimism and productivity and some I feel like I'm doing good to put one foot in front of the other. One thing I have held on to regardless of the circumstances is hope. Hope is not just wishful thinking. It takes action. It causes us to take a serious look at the present and offers the opportunity to make necessary changes to insure brighter days ahead, even when we can't see a clear path. Chaos brings opportunity and has forced me to be more innovative and take risks. I am learning to embrace this season to fully appreciate the beauty in the mess.
With chaos comes clarity. 2020 has been a constant reminder that nothing seems to last forever. I don't know about you, but so much down time has made me much more aware and intentional about being surrounded by things that I love. I'm purging everything that doesn't bring me joy (Thanks Marie Kondo!). Quality over quantity is my mantra moving forward. For me, that typically means an investment, but the sacrifice is worth it for things that I will love and cherish for years to come. I think you know exactly what I mean. Thank you for knowing and appreciating the difference!
I'm so excited to introduce you to the new Fall Collection! My dear friend and talented photographer Brett Warren is known for exploring both utilitarian and fantastical worlds with his photography and set creation. He has worked with Vogue, W Magazine, Oscar de la Renta, Billy Reid, Pamela Love and Tabitha Simmons to name a few. Brett has also been instrumental in bringing ME to life since our first photo shoot in the fall of 2014. That was actually his first big shoot too. Thanks to the pandemic, we couldn't safely get together to shoot this fall, so I sent the jewelry to him to photograph in his NYC studio. We collaborated through FaceTime and text. There is no one else I would ever trust to do this without me being there. Brett perfectly merged my vision for CHAOS + CLARITY into A BEAUTIFUL MESS. I am mesmerized by the outcome. These ethereal images are the epitome of 2020 - dark and moody, with glimmers of light and love amidst the chaos. I hope these new pieces bring you as much joy as they do me.
The Studio is open for private appointments and phone/FaceTime consultations on Tuesday - Thursday from 10:30 - 4:30. You can call, text, email or click the "Make An Appointment" button on the website homepage for an appointment or to assist you with website shopping. And don't forget to choose free shipping, curbside pickup or personal delivery within 10 miles of the Studio. I hope to see you soon!
I appreciate your love and continued support and encouragement more than words can express. It most definitely is what keeps ME going. Thank you!
