New One-of-a-Kind Pieces for One-of-a-Kind
Hello! I hope you had a nice relaxing holiday weekend. Am I the only one wondering how it's already July?! Just when things were starting to feel like they were heading in the right direction, Covid has smacked the U.S. in the face again. Nashville has responded by reverting back to Phase 2 with a much-needed mask mandate. We had hoped to get back to our regular hours this week, but we’re going to stick with Tuesday - Thursday private appointments for now to protect you and our team. I have to remind myself at least once a day that this isn’t forever, it’s just a season.
When I was a little girl I said I wanted to be a “paintist” when I grew up. When asked if I meant painter or artist, I explained that I wanted to be something arty but “not normal”. Out of the mouths of babes…Throughout school I explored all kinds of art. I strung beads, made collages from the most random items, took thousands of photographs, designed and made my own prom gown and spun some really ugly pottery. I also excelled and tested out of trig and calculus. Someone that loves art and math is definitely “not normal”. It was obvious by college that I would pursue something in the arts, but I knew I needed a business background if I wanted to succeed. So I wrote my own major in Art & Design to link both sides of my brain. That plan set me on the path to become who I always knew I was meant to be. For the past eleven years I’ve been focused on designing and selling handcrafted metal jewelry. There hasn’t been much time for anything else.
Someone recently commented how great it must be to have had so much down time this year to be creative. I had to laugh at the thought… I’m a small business owner with two employees! Stress and creativity do not go hand in hand, at least not for me. My focus has been on doing whatever it takes to make sure that ME survives this crazy year. I was stressed to the max when we initially closed in March, but the longer this mess goes on, the more I’ve settled into the “new normal” and believe that everything is going to be ok. I thank you for that!
I did play around early on in quarantine with mask-making. I appreciated doing something different, but was quickly reminded why I don’t regularly sew. As time went on, I got the itch to make colorful beaded necklaces for myself. These bright hand-strung necklaces brought me such joy that I decided to personally make a special collection of simple one-of-a-kind necklaces and earrings for you.
I’m so obsessed with these colorful necklaces that I've kept several for myself! These hand selected semi-precious and precious stone pieces are the perfect accessory for t-shirts and flowy summer dresses and comfortable enough to wear around the house or at the pool. My hope is that they make you smile and are a constant reminder that brighter days are ahead.
So, without further to do, I proudly present my ME Summer 2020 Mini Collection...
There is only one of each of these beauties, so when they’re gone, they’re gone!
