I Miss You!

It's hard to believe that it's been over five months since life as we knew it was turned upside down. Although I've been on personal lockdown and masked up since the beginning, I am still totally bewildered by how strange everything has become and hold out hope that this is not our new norm. As weird as everything is, this has been a season of growth and renewal for ME. I've realized that I'm much more adaptive and resilient than I would have ever thought. I've also become much more aware of what matters most to me, as I hope you have too. I miss my people and travel most (plus a long list of other things)! What about you?

Thanks to your continued support, ME is hanging on! We had a flurry of activity when we first reopened, but the Studio has been quiet since the most recent uptick in Covid cases. Everyone has been ordering online or by phone. Fall is typically our busy season, but retail is struggling. None of our partners are ordering or planning trunk shows any time soon. The good news is that you continue to show up for ME. Thank  you! 

I've worked harder and worried more during this season than I ever have before. I'm grateful that we've been working five days a weeks since July 6. Some weeks I have to get creative on how to keep my team busy, but I trust and still believe that we will make it through this tough year. Somehow, I keep making up things to do. I'm trying new ideas and really thinking about what role ME plays in the world. We may not be dressing up these days, but life goes on. It's important that we feel pretty and confident even if we're staying home in our stretchy pants, right? I'm thinking about all of this as I design new pieces that you'll want to wear for years to come. I'm not just fighting for ME, I'm fighting for you! That thought keeps me going on the slow days. 

Without having to work around the wholesale buying season, I have decided to create smaller collections more often. The summer gemstone collection was the first of these and the next one is coming soon. I'm thinking that I want to do one of these mini collections every few months to keep things fresh and my creative juices flowing. As much as I love our campaign photo shoots, it's not safe to shoot models right now, but I can still crank out our new product shots. I'd love to hear your thoughts on all of this, especially about what kind of pieces you want to wear now.

We have been doing quite a few custom pieces this summer. Nothing makes me happier than working with you to design something special with your heirloom stones or gold. Now is also the perfect time to leave your pieces for cleaning and repairs. These projects are great ways to keep us busy between orders.
